FAQ

What are your office hours?

My sessions start at about 1 pm and go up to 8 pm.

How long are the sessions?

For kids under 7 years old, sessions are usually twice a week for 30 to 45 minutes.

For kids 7 and up, typically 1 hour a week.

For adults, typically 1 hour a week.

If needed, we can increase it to 2 hours a week, or intensive treatment can be 3-4 hours a day over the course of a week or more.

How do I pay?
I accept cash, most major credit cards, FSA & HAS, and Zelle.
Do you take insurance?
Private insurance will almost always deny reimbursement for stuttering therapy. They’ll frequently tell you that your coverage includes “speech therapy,” but once they get the diagnostic code for stuttering, it’s denied. The loophole they use is a clause in most plans that states they’ll only reimburse if the stuttering is a direct result of some type of trauma to the head or stroke. All my clients initially pay out of pocket for services. However, depending on your policy, they will most likely reimburse part of the evaluation. I’ll provide you invoices that can be submitted to your provider and should, at the very least, go toward your deductible and qualify to be written off as a health cost on your taxes. A few families a year will get full coverage.
How do I make an appointment?
Call or text (407) 619-7548 or Email: [email protected].
Do you offer a free consultation?
I’m sure you have a bunch of questions. I offer a free 15-minute consultation which should answer them all.
What age are the clients you work with?
I work with all ages, from preschool through adult.
What is your approach to therapy?
I draw on a number of speech therapy and stuttering treatments to craft a unique program tailored to your needs.
How long have you been in business?
I’ve been an SLP since 2000 and opened my own practice in 2008.
Do your clients have assignments to work on between sessions?
Yes, as we get deeper into treatment, you will have some practice to do at home. The most important part of the process is taking our strategies outside the therapy room and applying them to your everyday life.
Do you or did you used to stutter?
This wins as the most common question I receive, but no.
Who are your favorite sport teams?

UCF Knights – Charge On!!

What do you do in your free time?

I have four kids, so there is no free time. LOL.
